To provide innovative solutions for waste streams and by-products by converting them into mineral rich and marketable products.  These products become affordable alternatives to virgin minerals.

Our Business

We are a 400,000 square foot processing facility located in Marion, Indiana - the heart of the steel industry.  We have the ability to effectively sort, crush, dry, briquette, size, and store a variety of materials.  We also offer a trucking service to and from our facilities and some individual transport needs.

Mike Dunn - President & Chief Operations Officer

Mike has worked in the steel industry for over 40 years.  His vast knowledge of steel furnaces, steel making techniques, chemistry requirements, and waste streams has proven to be an invaluable resource for our customers as well as our suppliers.  His vision of turning a costly land-filled waste into a valuable mineral source was the foundation for Melt Solutions’ start up.

Melt Solutions, LLC was incorporated in late 2006.  In 2007 the processing facility in Marion, Indiana, was opened.  Marion is located in the heart of the steel industry.

Shirley Dunn - Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Shirley is an accountant with over 25 years of experience in corporate accounting and information systems.  Her knowledge of general ledger, cost accounting, budgets, and overall organization skills was also a foundation for Melt Solutions' start up.
